Tafels van Moedt in progress*

It looks like a machine, but it is a workshop.

It looks like a workshop, but it is an experience.

It looks like an experience, but it is a decision-making tool.

It looks like a decision-making tool, but it is a work of art.

It looks like a work of art, but it is a co-creation session.

It looks like a co-creation session, but it is a dream.

It looks like a dream, but the impact is real.

Dutch Designweek, Eindhoven (2026)

Tafels van Moedt is a mythical answer to the question of ‘liminal spaces for decisive action’. It is a structural and nomadic space where fundamental questions receive courageous answers. An open space where you are set in motion. An opening to new insights and a different relationship to a social dilemma.
In this world, it is no longer possible to shift responsibility, wait and see, delay, look away, delegate, pass the costs on to others, or take cowardly action. On the contrary, one must look the beast in the eye in order to make decisive decisions.

Tafels van Moedt are developed through a transdisciplinary collaboration between transition
studies, philosophy, scenography, and theatre.

A collaboration with DRIFT , Erasmus University & KIN, Klimaatinitiatieven Nederland

You know that things are shifting.
Moving. Crumbling. Rising up.
You know that the old world is dying,
and the new one is struggling to be born.
“Now is the time of monsters,”

you sometimes think.
The shudder you feels is both

disgust and excitement.

You think of the butterfly effect.
You think of endless

excel sheets and infographics.
You think of the red thread you received in the mail this morning,
In an envelope made of paper, not pixels.
“For Theseus” was written on the card.

From now on, this will be my code name: “Theseus,” you think.

Welcome Theseus.
(You are not alone).
